User Experience with SEO

    Writing online is all about accessibility. There are already factors to consider with Search Engine Optimization, but there are more to focus on with user experience or UX. Like the name, user experience is all about how a viewer will perceive your document and the quality in what you produce. To improve the overall experience and quality of said content, there are about five elements in what to consider:
        1. Headings
        2. Easy Navigation 
        3. User Signals
        4. Site Speed
        5. Mobile Experience
   
 We talked about how these five are very important while working online. Dr. Hope posed the question asking about if we have ever left a site due to lagging. I believe most everyone has one time or another. By ensuring a quick connection allows for more traffic to the site. Another important speed factor would be easy navigation through site. Ensuring that the content is easy to find will be beneficial to both the creator and the reader. Like Lacy said - There is nothing worse than looking for a recipe and getting their life story.

    Hi, Merika! I'm glad you quoted Dr. Hope's on-point quote on getting a life story when searching for a recipe. For a website to maintain great UX and relevance, it is essential to stay focused on a specific point of information and consider why users would search for our content. Furthermore, I’m glad you brought up site speed, as it plays an immense role in whether or not users will use a page’s text. In our fast-paced world with infinite options to search for information, we cannot dismiss SEO writing tips and be successful in reaching our audience. We must use them in strategic ways and thus expand our outreach as writers.

iFixit Update

 iFixit Update     As of Wednesday our proposal has been accepted, but out first choice was sadly already taken. We now are going with the Craftsman Hammer Drill. Unfortunately, my partner is gone so I couldn't work on the actual page since I don't have access into the group or SEO project due to my placement in Dr. McMurrin's class. I set up a Google Doc and started to fill in the outline they provided.  I wish we had more options to choose from, like more relevant items because it's hard to write things about power tools. I don't know anything about them or have any interest in them so it's hard to find the motivation to look into it. I was hoping for more of a wide range of things because in the Standard Project we have items from computers to hairdryers.
